A hub for gaming excellence

More and more, digital games are part of our cultural landscape. From Grand Theft Auto, to Pokémon Go, games are now played in 7 out of 10 UK households.
In 2020, the British video games industry generated more revenue than film, TV and music combined, for the third year running.
Now, Falmouth University’s Games Academy is globally recognised as one of the best places in the world to study Games and is a hub for tech talent and innovation.
Offering courses in disciplines across the breadth of the games sector, from Game Art and Game Animation, to Artificial Intelligence for Games and Esports, students work in a studio environment to create real games and digital products every day, using professional-standard studios and equipment.
For the third year running, student teams from Falmouth have received development funding from industry leading body Tranzfuser, meaning they can take their games from concept and prototyping through to publishing.
Students and alumni are winning international accolades for their work, being celebrated from the Rookies to the Baftas.
Not only that, researchers at Falmouth are exploring new ways to use the possibilities of cutting-edge AI and procedural content generation and to drive the creative process.
